Jorge works for Cancino Coffee Farms as a Mowing Operator. He specifically helps control the overgrowth of grass and weeds by mowing between the coffee trees on the farm. He is a hard worker and has proudly put over 2,500 hours on the Ventrac tractor over the last three years.The Hawaiian Islands average 8 trillion gallons of rainwater per year and while that results in a characteristic green and lush appearance, it also fuels the growth of fast-growing grasses and weeds. One of which is a native species called Elephant Grass. Elephant Grass is very common in areas of high rainfall. The weed grows approximately 2 inches per day and is extremely dense and invasive.The Ventrac Tough Cut Mower is designed for mowing high grass and thick weeds. It has a large baffled front opening that helps to direct materials into the deck and hinder debris from escaping. Three heavy-duty blades counter rotate to cut and deposit waste evenly without windrowing. Jorge explains that it takes him approximately 3 weeks to mow the entire property, roughly 120 acres of land.
