8 Week Flail Mowing ExperimentDo you have questions about the frequency of cut with a Ventrac Flail Mower or about the Ventrac Flail Mower versus the Tough Cut? How about what these various applications look like when they are done? This video is part one of a flail mowing frequency experiment. We will be mowing in this field every week for eight weeks, mowing different plots at different intervals. The timing of the four different areas will be as follows - plot one will be mowed weekly, plot two will be mowed every other week, plot three will be mowed every four weeks, and the final plot will be mowed today and at the end of eight weeks. This will show you what the grass looks like after being managed at those different intervals throughout the summer. We are onsite at our corporate headquarters in Ohio. This time of year and location gives us well-to-average growing conditions for grass. And since we are just coming out of May when filming this, we will be in early June soon, which is the peak growing season. Today we set up, stake, and mow the plots to get them ready for the next eight weeks of maintenance. This grass is in the 6-8 inch tall range, and we will be cutting this grass at 3 inches.
